Should your partner pay for your hair/ nail appointments?
Have you ever surprised your partner by paying for their hair/ nails or other upkeep appointment(s)?
The majority of men have paid for their partner’s up keep whilst the overwhelming majority of women have not. I’m not surprised by these numbers BUT it is quite interesting to see them stacked up against each other (58% vs 17%).
I believe this is more of a norm for men because women have more upkeep/ beauty appointments than men (typically).
Why haven’t women offered or tried to surprised their partner in the same way? Do guys even want to be surprised/ gifted in this way? Naturally curious, I asked men if they would want this from their partner. Check out the data below.
Do you want your partner to surprise you by paying for you hair/ nails or other upkeep appointment(s)?
The majority of men (59%) want their partner to pay for one if their upkeep appointments every now and then! (Hair cut, massage, etc…)
NINETY-TWO PERCENT of women want their partner to pay for their personal maintenance appointment(s) every now and then. (Nails, facial, wax, hair, etc…). BTW, what a fcking power move for your partner to pay for your wax or laser appointment(s).
Keep reading to understand why the majority of women want to be gifted in this way.
How much do women spend on beauty/ maintenance appointments every 2-3 months?
The majority of women are spending upwards of $300 every 2-3 months on personal maintenance/ beauty upkeep. As you can tell, it gets pricey. So, yeah, of course we’d love a little ‘on the house’ surprise from our partner. But it’s not necessarily about the money, or saving the money, it’s more so about our partner wanting to take care of us, treat us and make us feel special.
If you take anything away from this article, let it be this:
- Over 90% of women want their partner to surprise them by paying for their beauty appointment(s) every now and then.
- Nearly 60% of men want their partner to surprise them by paying for their upkeep appointment(s) every now and then.
When was the last time you surprised your partner by doing something like this?
TIP: Hair appointments can get REALLY expensive. If you are wanting to surprise your female partner with this sort of gifting, I recommend paying for her nail appointment. It can be for a birthday, event, or just because!
A stealth way of doing do would be to send a Venmo/ Cash App/ Apple Cash before or during their appointment ;).
