Friends With Benefits

#Dating + Relationships

According to our oh so trusted and beloved source, Urban Dictionary, ‘friends with benefits’ is defined as this:

Two friends who trust each other enough to engage in sexual activity without fear of hurting the other's feelings. Ideal scenario for folk who are not interested in a serious or who do not have time for one. Not a boyfriend or girlfriend; neither party has to refrain from dating other people.

Obviously it depends on the person and their overall hygiene (let us be honest about that). But generally speaking, how many people are open to this sort of relationship?

44% of women who voted are open to having friendship(s) with benefits.
56% of women who voted are not open to having friendship(s) with benefits.

66% of men who voted are open to having friendship(s) with benefits.
34% of men who voted are not open to having friendship(s) with benefits.

55% of men and women who voted are open to having friendship(s) with benefits.

Based on 134 women and 127 men who voted, aged 18-35 via our Instagram.

That’s OVER HALF! AKA, every other person is probably down. Would you have guessed that?! I’m sure there are rules to this sort of thing… Like, idk, maintain respect for each other and don’t be an ass. Anyway, that’s a different article discussion and I’m sorry to admit that I do not have enough experience to talk about the dos and dont’s of this sort of thing. But if someone is curious, I am more than happy to get our Instagram community to chime in further on this topic! Let me know via DM!
