When is it appropriate to kiss on a date?

I know we’ve all thought about this, especially on the first or first few dates… And because I’m here doing God’s work 😉, I’m willing to ask the questions that bring transparency into this complicated world of shituationships.

First and foremost, there is no right or wrong answer here. I wanted to collect a general consensus on this topic and see when people think it’s appropriate to have a first kiss.

54% of men and women believe it’s appropriate to kiss on the first date.
33% of men and women believe it’s appropriate to kiss on the second date.
13% of men and women believe it’s appropriate to kiss on the third+ date.

(Based on 190 men and women who voted, see below)

How long should you wait to kiss someone:

My take away from these stats is that 54% of voters may have “physical touch” as their love language 😉. On a serious note, the majority of people may believe the first kiss is innocent and helps them determine if they want to continue exploring things with their potential mate.

Others put an emphasis on a first kiss because they reserve  these special moments for someone they can see some sort of future/shituationship with. These fellow hopeless romantics may also need to establish a mental/emotional connection and have some history before sealing the deal.

I voted but I will not disclose which option I selected. For the sake of keeping my personal life private on a dating blog/article (lol) I will tell you this much… I believe a first kiss is appropriate when it feels natural and magnetic for both people, and like… if they have good dental hygiene, please and thanks.
