What's More Painful? Emotional or Physical Cheating?

Do you find it interesting that men are more concerned with physical cheating than women are? I do! In part, I think this has to do with the ego and instincts. Instinctual in the sense of being possessive and protective over their partner in a similar way as cavemen with spears and clubs (Marie Claire). But overall, it might be downright emasculating in the sense of questioning how they weren’t able to ‘provide’.

Either way, if you have been cheated on the silver lining here is that you may develop a higher emotional intelligence and in turn, select far greater partners in your future. Simply because, you know the pain and the signs of infidelity so you’re more likely to steer clear of characteristics that resemble similar behaviors.

If you continuously end up in the same situation, bad/good news… you’re in a pattern and you can 100% change that. The first step is through awareness (identifying that you are in a pattern) and by making an internal vow to listen to the red flags when they present themselves.
